• Film formation was studied using experiments, simulations, and dimensional analyses. Circulations caused by the competition of gravity viscous forces were analyzed. Surface renewal rate super-high-viscosity liquid decreases with increasing viscosity. The scraper can limit film thickness increase surface rate. flow highly on a rotating spoked disk investigated experimentally numerically. In practical applications, is polycarbonate melt very high viscosity Newtonian behavior at low shear rates. maltose solution used. measured an electrical conductivity probe. Volume Fluid (VOF) model combined sliding mesh method used to simulate process. simulated dimensionless process agree well experimental results. under different operation conditions evaluated. Gravity dominate inertia playing marginal role. A designed intensify transfer processes significantly.
